Bukit Merah

When I was still 19-years-old, Ehsan brought me to Bukit Merah. We stayed at Highway Hotel two nights and a day. Our plan is to have some fun times together and the Lake Town. By the time we made it to the very crowded path as we headed there, we suddenly felt tired. It was the first time we been through this.

The other people in the path behind us seemed to freeze, staring awkwardly at this sweet strangers. When we all arrived to the destination, we had to take turn to buy the tickets as the ling was quite long. Ehsan gave me a long hug, took me to the sky chair to look around and enjoy the beautiful surrounding. We spent all day long there, until we were really feeling very exhausted. Days later, I was stuck by his attention. A complete stranger to me before, he then touched my heart, another stranger when no-one else either could or wanted to help. And for that I am truly grateful.

"Oh, the comfort - the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person - having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away"

"Once the realization is accepted that even between the closest human beings infinite distances continue, a wonderful living side by side can grow, if they succeed in loving the distance between them which makes it possible for each to see the other whole against the sky."
